I broke the news on my Facebook page Tuesday. Mimi has had another lump appear on the other side of her abdomen. They switched her chemo to another kind since this means it is resistant to what she was on. Darn - it was supposed to be her last visit and she's been so happy. The doctor called mommy yesterday and told her the biopsy did come back positive so if the new chemo hasn't shrunk the tumor when she goes back in 4 weeks we're going to have to admit defeat. Mimi's still very active and alert and shows no outward signs of being sick so paws remain firmly crossed. She got all the catnip she wanted last night and shared some with me. I decided this time that the stuff is pretty darned good!

About Molly-CoolMolly-Cool is a calico babe who was abandoned on a road in the middle of nowhere in August 2012. Mewing piteously in 100+ degree heat, she was picked up by a kind man whose wife knew her Mommy. She was only 3 weeks old and the vet didn't think she'd make it because she wouldn't drink kitten milk supplements. She napped on a laptop to keep warm, licked a little Greek lemon yogurt from her Mommy's finger and guzzled a special nutrition paste from a tube like there was no tomorrow. After a few tense days in a house full of big cats, Mimi, a tiny Himalyan beauty, became her protector, teacher and constant companion. Named Molly because she was "unsinkable," she remade herself into Molly-Cool through her antics and spunky personality quirks. She's now top diva in a house with 3 other lady cats. We will celebrate her first birthday on July 15th. Archives
